Orange Burfi

My entry for Coffee's monthly blog patrolling event.

I have religiously followed the recipe for "Orange Burfi" from the blog indianfoodrocks.

The only thing I want to mention is that the original recipe calls for zest of two oranges, which I personally think is too overpowering.

If you are making this recipe I would suggest, just use zest of one orange.

Hey Foodie! Thanks for trying my orange burfi. A couple of suggestions:
- the thinner you slice the orange peel the better. And the less you have of the white membrane the better.
- the original recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar, as mentioned in my post. I used only one because we prefer things less sweet. The consistency of the sugar syrup plays a big role on how firm the burfi is.

See the pictures here - those were not made by me but made from my recipe.

Hope this helps!

Wow, your burfi looks a lot better than mine! Actually, I've run across your blog a few times before and absolutely love it! I shared it with my sister in law Harmeet who made some of your dishes!
Crazy coincidence, huh?
